FAQ's

How many weeks of camp do you offer?
We offer 7 weeks of camp with 7 exciting themes! Our 2025 summer’s dates are:
Week 1, July 7 to 11 – Magnified
Week 2, July 14 to 18 – Wonder Junction
Week 3, July 21 to 25 – PandaMania
Week 4, July 28 to August 1 – The Ultimate Road Trip
**Week 5, August 5 to 8 – Camp Discovery
Week 6, August 11 to 15 – Galactic Starveyers
Week 7, August 18 to 22: Jr. High Camp grade 6,7 and, 8

**Please note, Week 5 is a short week. My Kids Day Camp will be closed on August 4th for Terry Fox Day. Registration costs reflect the shortened week**
When is the latest I can register?
Registration closes the Wednesday before each week of camp begins. For example, registration for week 1 (July 7 to 11) closes on July 1nd. We will have a waitlist for weeks that are full, if you would like to sign up for the waitlist you can do so through our registration form.
Who is camp for?
My Kids Day Camp is for children ages 5-12 (entering kindergarten to exiting grade 6). The Jr. High camp (Week 7) is for students entering grade 6 to students entering grade 9 as of September 2025.
Costs
Early Bird Registration: $190 (ends March 31, 2025)
Regular Registration: $225 (Until May 31, 2025)
Late Registration: $245.00
**For the short week (August 5th to 8th): $152 for Early Bird, $180 Regular and $196 Late.  
Do you offer subsidies?
Yes. To make My Kids Day Camp accessible to all families, My Church Winnipeg provides limited subsidies to help offset the cost of camp for families in need of financial assistance. If you are interested in applying for a subsidy, please contact the church office at 204-489-9000 or email daycamp@mychurchwinnipeg.ca. The deadline for applying for subsidies is May 23, 2025.
Can I register for more than one week?
Yes, you can! Many of our campers register for multiple weeks, so we strive to make each week as exciting and different as possible. We have a maximum of 50 camper per week, a waitlist will be opened once that week is full.
What are your camp hours?
Drop-off starts at 8:30 am. Pick-up is at 4:30pm.
Do you require your staff to have certain qualifications?
Yes. All our camp staff are trained in First Aid/CPR, have completed a criminal record check, and have taken our Child Abuse Prevention and Protection Training—a course designed to help ensure the safety and security of minors in all My Church Winnipeg programs.
What should I bring to camp?
There are a few things you should bring to camp every day:
· A labeled, peanut-free lunch that does not need to be microwaved
· A morning snack
· Your My Kids Day Camp t-shirt (this will be given to you on your first day of camp and must be worn every day)
· Sunscreen and bug repellent
· A hat
· A water bottle
· A swimsuit, towel, and plastic bag to put them in afterwards
At My Kids Day Camp, we are always moving! For this reason, we also require campers to wear shoes that allow them to run, jump, and move safely, such as runners or sport sandals.
Is there a fee if I pick my child up late?
Yes. My Kids Day Camp ends at 4:30pm, and we require parents to pick their children up on time. If your child remains in our care after 4:40pm you will be assessed a late fee of $5 per child. This fee will increase by $5 every 10 minutes and must be paid when you arrive to pick up your child.
Is there a cancellation fee?
There will be a 90% refund for those who cancel on or before June 18, 2025. There will be no refunds after June 18, 2025.
