How it all started...
In 1937, a small group of primarily German immigrants started worshipping together in Winnipeg, Manitoba, forming "Erweckungs Mission" (Revival Church). The church went through a number of names over the next few decades, including "Pentecostal Revival Mission". In 1960s, the church changed its name again to Immanuel Pentecostal Church. Over the years our church has welcomed people from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds to our church. Our church was well-regarded for its support of global missions efforts, excellence in music, and the importance on Bible teaching.
After meeting at near-capacity for many years in its previous location, in 1991, we moved to our current location at 955 Wilkes Avenue.

Expanding the vision...
In 2018, we adopted the name My Church Winnipeg, inspired by Matthew 16:18 where Jesus tells his disciple, Peter, "upon this rock, I will build my church". My Church Winnipeg is so much more than just a name, it is a reminder of who we belong to: Jesus Christ. My Church Winnipeg exists to help people to connect with Jesus Christ, His Cause, and Our Community. We are passionate about telling people about the life-changing message of Jesus Christ and how He changes everything.
Where we are headed...
My Church Winnipeg endeavours to be a vital part of our community. We are laser-focused on positively impacting the 3 kilometre radius around our location with the hope-filled message of Jesus Christ. We are multicultural and intergenerational, and passionate about seeing people connect with Jesus Christ.
At My Church Winnipeg, we are a place for you to connect!

The Bible
The Bible is God’s Word: It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because it was inspired by God, the Bible is truth without error and is completely relevant to all people in our daily lives when contextually interpreted.
Trinity
God is Love: Since love cannot exist in isolation, God has existed in relationship with Himself for all eternity. He exists as one substance in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority.
The Father
God is Great: He is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust, and above all, Holy. It is in Him that we live, move and exist. God is good. He is our Father. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.
The Son
Jesus is our Hope: He is completely human but, at the same time, completely God. He is the only plan for bringing people who are far from God back into a right relationship with God. He lived a perfect life as an example for us, taught us how to be reunited to our Father, and defeated death in His resurrection so that we can have the life God created us for.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is our Guide: His presence assures us of our relationship with Jesus. He convicts people of their sin, counsels them in the way they should live, and reveals the Truth found in God’s Word. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and makes us more like Jesus.
Humankind
Humankind is made in the image of God and is the supreme object of His creation. Humankind was created to have relationship with God but became separated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, we cannot attain a right relationship with God through our own effort. Every human personality is uniquely created, possesses dignity, and is worthy of respect and Christian love.
Salvation
What Jesus accomplished on the cross, by taking our sin on Himself and defeating death, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation is a gift from God, and it cannot be earned through our own efforts.
The Church
The Church is a local community of believers unified through faith in Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ and obeying all of His commands, and it seeks to bring the Good News to the world. The Church works together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of living in the way of Jesus.
Eternity
Man was created to exist forever. He will either be eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation.
