How many weeks of camp do you offer?
We offer 5 weeks of camp with 5 exciting themes! This summer’s dates and themes are:
- July 6th - 10th : Prehistoric Park Zoo
- July 13th- 17th :Rocky Railway
- July 20th- 24th : Knights of the Northern Castle
- July 27th - 31st : Concrete and Cranes
- August 4th- August 7th: Incredible Race (*Short week, due to My Kids Day Camp being closed on Terry Fox Day, August 3.)
What is the age range?
My Kids Day Camp is for children ages 5-12 (entering kindergarten to exiting grade 6).
Can I register for more than one week?
Yes, you can! Many of our campers register for multiple weeks, so we strive to make each week as exciting and different as possible.
Is there a half day option?
There is! Our half day camp runs from 8:30 to 12:15. Half day campers take part in all morning activities and are picked up just before lunch. *Please note that for Week One, our half day option only includes Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Thursday is a full day field trip to the Zoo. Half day campers will have the option to add the Thursday full day if there is room once our full day camper numbers are in. The cost for adding the full day will be $35. You may indicate your interest in adding this on the registration form.
How much does a week of camp cost?
Full Day Camp:
Early bird registration (until March 31st): $175.00 (For Aug 4-7: $140)
Regular registration (April 1st – May 15th): $185.00 (For Aug 4-7: $148)
Late registration (after May 15th): $215.00 (For Aug 4-7: $172)
**For the short week (Aug. 4th to 7th) the cost is Early Bird -$140, Regular – $148 and Late - $172
What does my full day registration fee cover? Included in the full day registration cost are supplies for morning and afternoon activities, afternoon snack, field trip entrance fees, transportation, and staffing costs. Each camper will also receive one complimentary My Kids Day Camp t-shirt (to be worn each day at camp).
Half Day Camp:
Early bird registration (until March 31st): $90.00 (July 6-8, 10/Aug 4-7: $72)
Regular registration (April 1st – May 15th): $100.00 (July 6-8, 10/Aug 4-7: $80)
Late registration (after May 15th): $115.00 (July 6-8, 10/Aug 4-7: $92)
**For the short weeks (Week One and Week Five) the cost is Early Bird - $72, Regular – $80 and Late - $92
What does my half day registration fee cover? Included in the half day registration cost are morning supplies, and staffing costs. Each camper will also receive one complimentary My Kids Day Camp t-shirt (to be worn each day at camp).
My child is registered for half days but your field trips look really fun! Am I able to register them for a single afternoon?
Yes! However, please be aware that afternoon space is limited and full day campers will be prioritized. The fee to add a single afternoon to your registration is $22. This includes entrance fees and transportation to and from the field trip, afternoon snack, supplies, and staffing costs.
When is the latest I can register?
Registration closes the Wednesday before each week of camp begins. For example, registration for week 1 (July 6th to 10th) closes on July 1st.
Do you offer subsidies?
Yes. To make My Kids Day Camp accessible to all families, My Church Winnipeg provides limited subsidies to help offset the cost of camp for families in need of financial assistance. If you are interested in applying for a subsidy, please contact the church office at 204-489-9000 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The deadline for subsidy applications is April 30, 2020.
What does a normal day at camp look like?
Drop-off starts at 8:30 am. Pick-up is at 12:15 pm for half day campers and 4:30 pm for full day campers.
Mornings: At My Kids Day Camp our mornings are packed with fun, faith-based activities in both small and large group settings. We begin our day with an opening session where we sing, dance and learn our daily Bible Point. Groups then move through 4 stations (ie. Bible story, craft, gym games and science), with a break for snack at 10:15. We end our morning with a closing session, then spend 30 minutes relaxing and eating our lunch.
Afternoons: Each afternoon looks different as campers take part in activities both on and off the My Church Winnipeg property. We end each day with games in the gym as campers wait to be picked up and tell you all about their day!
Monday: Assiniboine Park Nature Playground
Tuesday: Totally Terrific Tuesdays (themed activities at the church)
Wednesday: Wacky Water Wednesdays! (water balloons, slip n’ slide and more at the church)
Thursday: Big field trip! (to a different exciting location each week)
Friday: Bonivital Pool

What should I bring to camp?
There are a few things you should bring to camp every day:
- A labeled, peanut-free lunch that does not need to be microwaved
- Your My Kids Day Camp t-shirt (this will be given to you on your first day of camp and must be worn every day)
- Sunscreen and bug repellent
- A hat
- A water bottle
- A swimsuit, towel, and plastic bag to put them in afterwards
At My Kids Day Camp we are always moving! For this reason we also require campers to wear shoes that allow them to run, jump, and move safely, such as runners or sport sandals.
What do I do if my child loses something?
Our Lost and Found bin can be found beside the check-in counter. However, please note that My Kids Day Camp is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Do you require your staff to have certain qualifications?
Yes. All our camp staff are trained in first aid/CPR, have completed a criminal record check, and have taken our Child Abuse Prevention and Protection Training—a course designed to help ensure the safety and security of minors in all My Church Winnipeg programs.

Is there a cancellation fee?
Due to program popularity and limited space available, we ask that you cancel at least ten (10) business days prior to the start of the program for a 90% refund of the program fee. Cancellation with less than ten (10) business days’ notice receive a refund of 60% of the program fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations with less than two (2) business days’ notice. Campers wishing to transfer from one week to another after May 15th will be subject to an administrative fee of $15 per child.
Is there a fee if I pick my child up late?
Yes. My Kids Day Camp ends at 4:30, and we require parents to pick their children up on time. If your child remains in our care after 4:40 you will be assessed a late fee of $5 per child. This fee will increase by $5 every 10 minutes and must be paid when you arrive to pick up your child.
This policy also applies to half day pick up, with late fees beginning at 12:20.
